What is DiveTickets?

DiveTickets.com is a website for buying and selling dive tickets online. Our goal is to make it easy to buy and sell tickets on dive trips, so that divers and dive-charter companies can focus on what they love - diving!

We are a group of dedicated divers (instructors and dive masters) who thought it would be great if more dive boats had tickets available for purchase online. So we partnered with a web developer and put this site together.

Why is my payment processed on another site?

We do not handle your credit card information for security reasons. Authorize.net, our payment processor, lets you make the payment using a credit card.

What are the Policies for Cancellations, Refunds, Exchanges, or Warranties?

The refund policy is shown for each separate trip, and then for your tickets once you make a reservation. The dive-charter company receives your ticket money whether or not you are onboard, unless you received a refund.

Exchanges are offered solely at the discretion of the dive charter company, please contact them for details. We do not offer exchanges through the website.

There are no warranties.

If the dive-charter company has to cancel your trip, your payment is credited back in full.

Do you share my personal information with anyone else?

No, we do not share your personal information with anyone other than the dive-charter companies you are diving with. We provide your contact information to the dive-charter companies so that they can contact you about your trip.

Spam makes us nauseous, and when we're nauseous we can't dive!

How do the tickets for 'Nitrox Tanks' work?

Most boats offer a limited number of nitrox on a trip. The maximum number of nitrox tanks (aka, nitrox 'fills') that you can buy is the number of tickets you are buying × the number of dives on the trip. For example, if you are buying 2 tickets, 1 each for you and your buddy, on a 2-tank trip, you can buy up to 4 nitrox tanks. If both of you are bringing your own, already full nitrox tanks for the first dive, you would buy 2 fills for the second dive.

What time should I show up for my trip?

All the trips on DiveTickets.com are shown with their boarding time, so that is the time that you should arrive at the boat.

What if I have more questions about my trip?

Please contact the dive-charter company directly if you have questions about dive sites, skill levels, gear, certifications, local conditions, etc. If you have questions about your tickets, please contact us.

What's the scoop on the photos used on the site?

The picture at the top of the page was taken in Belize. It's a Nurse shark, and a happy diver. (MJ Witt, 2005.)

The 'About DiveTickets' picture was taken off the coast of the Big Island, Hawaii. It is a group of pilot whales, and there were actually ~30 whales, including babies. Not depicted here is the beautiful Oceanic Whitetip shark who was hanging out with the whales. Meeting the whitetip face-to-face was one of the highlights of our lives, but still frightening to think about. Luckily, 2 Rough-toothed dolphins started a fight with him, so he lost interest in us.
